Microsoft.AspNetCore.Mvc.NewtonsoftJson version 9.0.1 does not support net8

The latest verison of Microsoft.AspNetCore.Mvc.NewtonsoftJson on nuget is 9.0.1 which does not support net8, but net8 is in support until end of 2026

I believe this is intentional - packages that are part of the core ASP.NET Core framework only target the latest version of .NET. So 8.0.x packages target only net8.0, 9.0.x only target net9.0, 10.0.x will target only net10.0 etc.

If you want to use .NET 8.0 until the end of its support period, you should target net8.0 and use 8.0.x packages.
