Gabriel Redon



Gabriel Redon is a historian with a doctorate in the history of the Middle Ages, and is currently an assistant professor of medieval history at the Université de Lorraine, attached to the CRULH (EA 3945).
His research focuses on the long-term relationship between the imperial idea and late medieval societies, and on the uses of political symbolism in medieval texts. He also has a notebook entitled Hypothèses sur le souvenir de la guerre d’Indochine (Hypotheses on the memory of the Indochina War), entitled “Diên Biên Phu 70” , the subject of which is directly related to his work on the relationship between long historical time and imperialism.
